We first met Andy at last years N E C Classic Car show, where he had a trade stand depicting various items which had been Soda Blasted, being curious about the idea we engaged Andy into the whys and where fore’s of this system, which was apparently proving to be the way forward when wanting to blast clean almost anything in a quick easy and safe manor. The advantage over standard type shot or bead blasting is that it simply removes the coating and leaving the original surface below perfectly in tact, this then been the ideal format if you have something rare or irreplaceable which needs to be cleaned. We eventually did our usual research into the system, and discovered everything that Andy had outlined was indeed correct, the only problem being, that no one company in our part of the world had to date ever heard of the idea, hence, in early April of this year, we made contact with Andy and arranged to for him to perform his magic on some original motor car panels, with the only proviso, that the job in hand could be completed within a working day. Without hesitation Andy agreed, we duly arrived ahead of schedule on the allotted day, with Andy eager to show us around to have a look at projects which were in various states of cleaning, including his own project, a pure labour of love of an American classic car. By early afternoon the project was about half way through, with Andy only stopping once to have a cup of tea which he only half drank, as he finished a panel, his assistant duly cleaned everything of with a powerful air line. By five o’clock the project was finally completed, and Andy was just about ready for home. Without any shadow of a doubt, Christine and I have no hesitation in highly recommending Andy at Sutton Soda Blasting to every one considering having any sort of renovation work carried out, his hospitality is second to non, his working ethics are beyond the call of duty, whilst maintaining a high level of care to his customers and clients alike.
